And The Beat goes on...the tradition continues. On Friday May 12, 2006, Brown Bottling Group Presents the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra in Concert at Old Trace Park on the Ross Barnett Reservoir for the 25th anniversary Pepsi Pops Concert. Year after year this great family event has grown into a favorite Ridgeland outdoor event. The fun includes a kid’s play area, delicious food, cold Pepsi products, beautiful music and a spectacular fireworks finale.

Gates will open at 4:30pm with pre-concert entertainment that will feature special guest hosts Robert St. John, Wyatt Waters and Marshall Ramsey. The pre-concert entertainment will include a special audio presentation by Clear Channel and local musicians. The Y101 Kid Zone will open at 5:00pm and includes face painting, cheerleading contest, storytelling and space jump.

Maestro Crafton Beck will take the stage at 7:30 pm to conduct the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra as they pay tribute to 25 years of Pepsi Pops featuring selections that highlight past concerts. In addition to the fantastic sounds of the Orchestra, you can enjoy a spectacular fireworks show at 9:15 pm.
